Animal Heart is the debut feature film from filmmaker Sahra Bhimji, and the fabulous producing team Jeff Allard, Anna Robertson, Ipsheeta Furtado, Mario Kenyon, Megan Carlson, and Connie Jo Sechrist. We’re shooting this summer at the iconic Devil’s Gulch Ranch in Nicasio, Marin County, with additional days in Emeryville, California.
Logline: In a society where technology governs every health decision, a woman yearning to be a mother is lured to a remote farm after running out of options. But the promise of an old-fashioned pregnancy hides an insidious secret that forces her to choose between motherhood and survival.
What we need to make this happen: We’re looking for community members to pitch in and donate to help make this film a reality. We need everything from meals to airline miles to hosting a crew member in your home.
